Revolution (Official Video) OUT NOW

Voodoo Vegas call for a ‘revolution’ with new song

South-coast hard rock quintet, Voodoo Vegas, release a new single, Revolution on Friday 05 July 2019, taken from their forthcoming album, Feeling So Good, out on Fri 01 November 2019.

Revolution will be available worldwide from all digital streaming and download platforms and is the second song taken from their third album, Feeling So Good. It is accompanied by a full promo video https://youtu.be/00x-QEXbc_I

The album, Feeling So Good, was recorded with Will Maya at Los Rosales Studio near Madrid. It features coverart created by renowned Marvel & DC Comics graphic artist, Jason Johnson https://www.facebook.com/JasonJohnsonartist/. The album is self-released and will be distributed by PHD.

The album, plus some exclusive merchandise and experiences can be explored here: http://store.voodoovegas.com

Revolution was written by Lawrence Case and Jon Dawson and is a typical Voodoo Vegas creation with a hugely memorable chorus and guitar riffs to die for.

Singer, Lawrence Case had this to say, “Producer Will Maya brought out the best in us with this song. Listen to those bass-chops from Ask Moulton during the verses and then we top that off with a pre-chorus and chorus that are bang on the money.”

Lawrence continued, “The whole world appears to be full of negative energy at present and it may need a revolution to get us back on track. From Brexit, to Trump, to Hong Kong, to environmental concerns and commercial whaling starting again. Hear it, it’s on the wind, there’s a revolution coming!”

Voodoo Vegas announce new album and single.

2019-05-14

PRESS RELEASE.

South-coast hard rock quintet, Voodoo Vegas, release a new single, "Don’t Need Your Love" on Friday 24 May off the back of details for the third album, 'Feeling So Good,' out on November 1st, 2019.

"Don’t Need Your Love" will be available worldwide from all digital streaming and download platforms and is the first song taken from third album, 'Feeling So Good.'

Singer, Lawrence Case, spoke of a difficult 12 months, “We were one of the many bands caught up in the whole Pledge Music collapse. We actually ran really successful campaigns for albums one and two, but we and our fans have been left high & dry this time. We are owed £000’s and it has certainly hit our plans with a sledge-hammer. “

Despite the setback the band, completed by Ash Moulton (bass), Meryl Hamilton (guitars), Jon Dawson (guitar) and the returning, Martin Ramsey (drums), have re-grouped and brought all of the promotion and marketing in-house.

Lawrence continued, “It has been a real learning curve, but we have signed with Peter Keevil at TMR and that has helped get us organised and re-focussed. We are now delighted to be releasing new music and announcing our third album.”

The album, 'Feeling So Good,' was recorded with Will Maya at Los Rosales Studio near Madrid. It features cover art created by renowned Marvel & DC Comics graphic artist, Jason Johnson. The album is self-released and will be distributed by PHD.

The album, plus some exclusive merchandise and experiences can be explored here: http://store.voodoovegas.com

First single, "Don’t Need Your Love," is the first writing collaboration between Lawrence Case and Mike Rigler. Mike’s fat riff, mixed with Lawrence’s aggressive vocal melodies on the verses, come together perfectly for a melodic and hook-laden chorus.

Lawrence wrote the lyrics about how despite many knock-backs, they have come out the other side - three albums in and realising that they needed the high rock music to pull them through.

Lawrence concluded, “We are really proud of Feeling So Good and we think people will like it too. Don’t Need Your Love is the lead song and sets the tone for the album. We can’t wait to get people’s reaction to it.”

LIVE Review - Bournemouth O2

2018-08-20

Voodoo Vegas have, in my opinion, been the best local live rock band for the last few years. And lately they seem to have turned it up another level.

Saturday night saw them as the support band for the top tribute band to Axl and the boys, UK Guns and Roses.

From the first bars of Don't Need Your Love it was apparent this is where Voodoo Vegas should be, headlining venues like the iconic Academy.

The energy and confidence the whole band radiated was mirrored by the audience who were on their feet every second of the set..

Lawrence is the perfect front man, he has the mix of incredible voice, good looks and charming personality and he works the crowd perfectly.

Meryl has to be the best female guitarist around and the combination of her and Jon on guitars make the band come alive.

Ash is the sublime bass player and Mike's drumming rounds up the sound.

They are at home on the stage and work as a complete unit.

The set included a couple of new tracks from the upcoming album.

Revolution grabs you straight away and would work perfectly on the radio.Puppet was mind blowing live as was Feeling So Good from their new crowdfunded album.

It was a 45 minute set that should have been a lot longer, the crowd lapped up every song.

2017 Year In Review

2017-12-30

As 2017 comes to a close we look back at a great year for our band.

Back in February Mike Rigler joined the band, he has brought so much positive energy and musicianship to Voodoo Vegas, the future is certainly bright.

In July we played our 1st ever show in Estonia at Amme Rock Festival as well as playing in Sweden for the 1st time in September.

We toured The Netherlands and the U.K. with Y&T, and played some awesome shows and festivals in Germany, France and Belgium.

In August one of our gig highlights was headlining Monmouth Festival. We also played Winters End festival for Planet Rock and Hard Rock Hell AOR Festival.

Sadly our huge show in China was cancelled just 2 weeks before the date. We hope we can rock China in 2018.

In December we began pre production on our 3rd album with Will Maya, we had one of the most creative and exciting weekends of song writing this band has ever had. We are all super pumped to begin work on album number 3.

We hope every one of you has a safe remainder of 2017.

Thank you for your continued support.

2018 will bring us a new album and hopefully loads of awesome shows, festivals and experiences.

Happy New Year,

Much Love

Lawrence, Ash, Meryl, Jon and Mike Rigler

Live Review -Glasgow Garage

2017-11-27

Great live review from our set at The Glasgow Garage supporting Y&T earlier this month.

Review from Metaltalk.net

.......

Bournemouth's rapidly rising quintet Voodoo Vegas have been making a name for themselves over the past few years. Over the years they've shared stages with some of the biggest names in rock n' roll including ex-Guns N' Roses guitarist Gilby Clarke, Status Quo and Y&T all over Europe.

Their last full-length studio effort was their excellent debut album, 'The Rise of Jimmy Silver', back in 2013 which was followed up by the 'Hypnotise' EP a year later and their most recent release, 2016's 'Freak Show Candy Floss' was a favourite release of mine – and still is.

Although they may have been quiet in the recording stakes, the Voodoo Vegas' touring schedule, on the other hand, has been relentless around the UK and Europe but not, as front man Lawrence Case points out have they been so prolific north of the border.

"We only found out about this show a week ago" he explained before adding that it's been a long time since they last ventured up to Glasgow before joking "Scotland – it's such a long way!"

Indeed, an eight hour plus drive for a thirty-minute set shows how much these kinds of opportunities mean to Voodoo Vegas and they didn't shirk their responsibilities when it came to entertainment.

With an early curfew on the venue due to their club night, the Dorsetters were unfortunately not playing to a full house but their performance could have had you thinking that they were.

For those en route to the venue when they played, you missed a great set from a truly under-rated British act. Pulling tracks from all their releases, the band put in a storming set in front of the small but very appreciative audience.

Lawrence is a truly fantastic front man who just oozes charisma and talent while guitarist Merylina Hamilton put in a stunning performance.

Highlights included 'The Ferry Song' and 'So Unkind' which had a bit of audience participation added to the mix while it was very much a case of leaving the best till last with 'King Without A Crown'.

If you haven't heard of Voodoo Vegas, go and seek them out because bands with this much talent need your support now more than ever.
